We do not collect any personal information about you at our website unless you choose to provide it to us voluntarily. We define "personal information" as information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. Such information might include your phone number, name or email address. Generally, this information is requested when you are asked to register for an everydayhero account, creating a fundraising page, registering for an event, donating to a charity, subscribing to e-mail newsletters or completing an online survey. If you encounter a screen or page that requests information you do not want to share with us, do not enter the information and do not proceed with that screen or page.
You can personalise your experience at www.everydayhero.com/ie by becoming a registered user. If you ever want to review or update your profile, simply visit www.everydayhero.com/ie and edit your account information. We'll ask you to disclose your email address and password so that only you can access your profile. Your account information is secure and is accessible by using a password that you select. Do not share your password with anyone. The everydayhero website assigns a personal identification number and sends it to your computer in the form of a small text file, called a "cookie." The use of this cookie allows you to visit other password-restricted portions of everydayhero's website - for which you have security access - without having to sign in again.
If you are a donor or register for an event, we will use your personal information to enable us to process your donation or registration payment, and claim Gift Aid if appropriate.
If you are a fundraiser, we will use your personal information to maintain your everydayhero user account and to contact you to notify you about the operation and activity on your page. This may include information about how you can best use your fundraising page to raise money.
If you register to receive the everydayhero email newsletter we will use your personal information to fulfil that process. You may opt out at any time by following the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of those emails.
We will pass on your personal information to the charity or other beneficiary of any fundraising page you have created, event you have entered or donation you have made. The charity or other beneficiary will use your personal information in order to manage those payments or fundraising activities, including, if appropriate the claiming of Gift Aid. The charity or other beneficiary will not use your personal information to contact you for purposes of marketing their services unless you have opted in to give your consent at the time of completing a donation, payment or creating a fundraising page.
